Photo walk with the Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom - Sidekick Camera

Photo walk with the Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom

For this weekend's photo walk, our camera of choice was the Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom.  Since it looked like we were going to have a very sunny day, we chose Kodak UltraMax 400 as our 35mm film.

Our destination was San Marcos, TX.  This cool little college town is about 30 minutes south of Austin.  We went without any specific locations in mind and drove around until something caught our eye.  We spotted this abandoned school tucked back in a historic neighborhood.

Using a camera like the Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom is fun in a situation like this where you can focus on lining up shots without having to get bogged down with settings.

We wanted to see how the camera would handle a variety of situations, so after getting several wide landscapes of the basketball courts, we found these incredible flowers to capture close up photos of.  The auto focus perfectly highlighted the flowers while blurring out the background.  Success!

This neighborhood was so cool that we decided to keep walking around even though the temperature was quickly rising into the 90s.  The Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom did a great job of capturing the little details that we found while we were exploring.

Earlier, while we were driving around we noticed this colorful adventure park off of a nearby road.  We decided to go back and shoot some photos there, because it was too cool not to check out.  It did not disappoint.

With only a few frames left in our Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom, we spotted this overgrown baseball field off of the side of the road.  We snapped a few shots and then headed straight to the film lab!
