Photo walk with the Canon Sure Shot Telemax - Sidekick Camera

Photo walk with the Canon Sure Shot Telemax

Another weekend... another photo walk!  Our camera of choice this weekend was the Canon Sure Shot Telemax.  We loaded it up with a roll of Kodak Gold 200 and went exploring around Austin.

The Kodak Gold 200 did an amazing job of capturing the vibrant colors of these two vehicles we spotted on the west side of town.  We always make a point of stopping when we see something cool to shoot, because things never end up looking the same if you come back another day!

A hidden gem of Austin is the Elisabet Ney Museum.  This historic building houses the former studio of the talented sculptor Elisabet Ney who moved to Austin in the 1800s.

We figured this would be a great place to test out the flash feature on the Canon Sure Shot Telemax.  The top photo of this sculpture was taken without the flash and the bottom photo was with the flash turned on.  This built in flash opens up the possibility of shooting in less than optimal lighting conditions.

Another cool feature of the Canon Sure Shot Telemax is the zoom.  This camera is unique in that it has two different zoom settings that can be toggled with a switch.

The first photo of this tableau was taken with the wide angle setting and the second was taken with the telephoto setting.  The two zoom options give completely different character to the photos!

To finish our photo walk we decided to explore Guadalupe during golden hour.  Wow!!!  Kodak Gold 200 did a great job of capturing those late in the day golden tones.
