Photo walk with the Olympus Stylus Zoom 140
One of our most popular cameras is the Olympus Stylus Zoom 140. Â So, we decided to take one out on a nice Saturday morning and shoot a roll of Kodak UltraMax 400!
We started our photo walk with coffee from our favorite spot Sunshine Sister Coffee and crepes from Abelitos Crepe Cafe. Â While we waited for our food we loaded up our roll of Kodak UltraMax 400 and took a few shots. Â The Olympus Stylus Zoom 140 excellently exposed our images even though we were shooting into a very contrasty situation with direct sunlight and deep shadows.
After we finished our food, we decided to explore downtown Bastrop. Â The historic downtown has so many cool small businesses. Â Shooting photos through windows always adds a unique texture to the images. Â The camera did a great job of accurately capturing the dynamic storefront displays. Â Inside of the Painted Porch Book Shop, the built in flash came in handy when taking photos that would otherwise be dark and blurry.
Continuing down Main St. we spotted a neighborhood cat enjoying the sunny morning. Â We were able to use the impressive zoom of the Olympus Stylus Zoom 140 to capture the cat without disturbing it!
It is easy to see why this is such a popular camera.  The images far exceed the quality produced by most point and shoots, the controls are simple, and the camera feels very well constructed. Perfect for a Saturday photo walk!
